Timothy J. Snyder, the defendant in this case, was convicted on two counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.*fn1 On appeal, the Colorado Court of Appeals concluded that the trial court committed reversible error in admitting evidence of another, later sexual assault on the victim by the defendant. People v. Snyder, No. 91CA1129 (Colo. App. Jan. 7, 1993) (not selected for publication). The court therefore reversed the trial court's judgment and remanded the case for a new trial. Id. We hold that the trial court properly admitted the similar transaction evidence. We therefore reverse the judgment of the court of appeals and remand the case to that court with directions to reinstate the trial court's judgment of conviction.
